Training ensures franchise owners get off to a solid start

The two-week initial training program is based on a “no experience” model. This training covers a wide variety of topics from administration and office set-up to working effectively with product manufacturers. Attendees will have a chance to meet and learn from the Budget Blinds owners and staff who will provide ongoing support once training is complete. Training also includes:

• A business overview. First and foremost, attendees learn the industry, company policies and procedures, and how to run a Budget Blinds franchise by the book.
• A sales and marketing overview. Attendees learn about lead generation and the multitude of franchise marketing tools available.
• Product and installation training. Attendees learn the technical ins and outs of products, plus the “how to's” of window coverings installations.

Support for training includes round-trip, economy class airfare (up to $500), hotel accommodations for one standard room for up to 15 nights, and the complete window covering sample package, including all consultation supplies, books and swatches.

Ongoing training benefits

On a continual basis, there are opportunities for franchise owners and their employees to build additional skills. New information about products and decorating trends is available from window coverings manufacturers and other experts at conventions. Franchises can send their new hires to training through SMART School. Franchise owners can also learn from each other either through the intranet or at annual regional trainings.
