    Budget Blinds was founded by five long-time friends in 1992. The five are still equal partners in the business and actively manage day-to-day activities. Having been in the trenches just like our franchisees, they understand the business inside and out.

  • A better business model

    Five long-time friends founded Budget Blinds, a home based franchise in 1992, and began franchising the home based business in 1994. During those early days, the five founding partners grew the business despite a recession by building a business model unique to the window coverings industry. Back then, buying window treatments meant taking measurements, trekking to the local brick-and-mortar department store and hoping that the product would fit or be the right color.

    The Budget Blinds was different from the start by offering the consumer:

    > Expert measuring > Quality, name-brand window treatments

    Today, Budget Blinds boasts nearly 1,000 franchised territories serving over 4,000 cities throughout the United States and Canada and an alliance of over 30 vendors that provide quality products to our franchisees.

    To create the most efficient and profitable national distribution channel specializing in home improvement products while setting the standard for franchisee-franchisor relationships.
