Budget Blinds on George to the Rescue this Weekend

Budget Blinds is excited to announce that this Saturday, April 27th, we will be featured on NBC’s hit home improvement series George to the Rescue! The episode will air at 10am EST on NBC 4 in major cities across the country – please check your local listings for details.

George to the Rescue features home improvement guru George Oliphant as he tackles remodeling projects that benefit families and community organizations in need. On this episode, our window franchise business partnered with the show to help renovate the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, New Jersey as part of our continuous efforts to build meaningful relationships with the community.

Every day, over 200 teens gather at the Boys and Girls Club of Newark to seek guidance and education from caring community role models.  The “teen room” is the center of the kid’s social atmosphere that hosts a variety of programs and simultaneously fosters responsibility, character and discipline. Unfortunately, the room was in need of a major renovation and the Boys and Girls Club lacked the resources to move forward with one. That’s where Budget Blinds and George to the Rescue came in!

It was such an honor to come together with the show’s team and also with the Boys and Girls Club of Newark to help provide a positive atmosphere for the kids. “Using a solutions based approach, we were able to maximize every square inch of the room while incorporating stylish design elements to make it a trendy and comfortable hangout for teens,” says CEO of Budget Blinds, Chad Hallock. “We are very excited to have had the opportunity to work with such a deserving organization in support of future generations.” With the help, hard work, and commitment put forth by Budget Blinds of Westfield franchisee David Powell, our window franchise was able to install motorized graphic shades on every window in the teen room. Each features an inspirational quote from a community or celebrity role model to help keep the kids ambitious. The graphic shades themselves were made possible through a generous donation from our trusted shade manufacturing partner Draper Inc. so a big thanks to them!

NBC’s George to the Rescue averages over a million viewers per episode, and we are thrilled to be part of such an impactful effort. Tune in to NBC 4 this Saturday, April 27th at 10am EST and watch Budget Blinds and George to the Rescue help create a safe haven for teens at the Boys and Girls Club of Newark!

Budget Blinds Partners with NBC's George to the Rescue to Help the Boys and Girls Club

Window coverings franchise, Budget Blinds, along with its sister company Tailored Living, recently partnered with NBC’s popular home improvement show George to the Rescue to help renovate the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, NJ. Every day, over 200 teens gather in a teen room at the Boys and Girls Club of Newark to seek guidance and support from caring community role models. According to the Boys and Girls Club, about 50% of Newark teens never graduate from high school and they've made it a priority to try and change that statistic. To learn more about the problem, and how the Boys and Girls Club is making a difference, visit here.

Because of years of use by different generations of teens, the teen room was in dire need of a renovation, and the Boys and Girls Club lacked the resources to move forward with one. After hearing about this situation, Budget Blinds was eager to help such a worthy cause.

Budget Blinds installed motorized graphic shades featuring inspirational quotes on every window in the teen room. Motorized shades were chosen because they're inherently kid-friendly and easy to operate. The graphic shades were made possible through a generous donation from Budget Blinds' shade manufacturing partner Draper Inc. and by the hard installation work done by Budget Blinds of Westfield franchisee David Powell.

Chad Hallock, CEO of Budget Blinds and Tailored Living, comments about what a great experience this renovation was for Budget Blinds. “It was a pleasure to utilize our blind business for such a great cause — we were able to maximize every square inch of the room while incorporating stylish and functional design elements to make it a trendy and comfortable hangout for teens. We are very excited to have had the opportunity to contribute to such a deserving organization in support of future generations.”

Be sure to tune in to NBC 4 on April 27th at 10am EST to watch Budget Blinds, Tailored Living and George to the Rescue improve the lives of teens at the Boys and Girls Club in Newark!

Budget Blinds Recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as a Top Franchise

Every year, Entrepreneur Magazine releases its prestegious list of the top 500 franchise systems in the nation. All companies, regardless of size, are judged by the same criteria: objective, quantifiable measures of the franchise operation. The most important factors include financial strength and stability, growth rate and size of the system. Entrepreneur also considers the number of years a company has been in business, the length of time it has been franchising, startup costs, percentage of terminations and whether the company provides financing. Financial data is analyzed by an independent CPA. The magazine does not measure subjective elements such as franchisee satisfaction or management style. The objective factors are plugged into an exclusive Franchise 500 formula, with each eligible company receiving a cumulative score. The 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500. This year, Budget Blinds came in at #177 - an impressive feat considering the thousands of franchise systems out there. Even more impressive is that the company was ranked #1 in the window coverings category for the 17th consecutive year!

"Being ranked in the Franchise 500 is a great accomplishment in and of itself, but being ranked the #1 window coverings franchise time and time again is something truly special," said Chad Hallock, CEO of Budget Blinds. "This is a true testament to all the hard work we've all put into creating a lucrative franchise operation that can help any entrepreneur reach their financial goals."

Why You Should Consider Buying a Window Coverings Franchise

If you are striving for a new career and looking to control your own destiny, you might have already considered starting your own business. One of the best solutions to accomplish your goals may be through franchising. Buying a tried-and-true franchise comes with a lot of benefits, especially if you invest in a lucrative home furnishings franchise.

Here are just some of the ways a window covering franchise like Budget Blinds can offer you a jumpstart toward owning and operating your own business:

Successful Track Record
Like any good franchise company, Budget Blinds has developed a method of doing business that works well and produces favorable results. Budget Blinds provides you with in-depth information in its franchise disclosure document so you can investigate and verify the results. You can also speak with existing franchisees prior to making a final decision.

Brand Awareness
One of the best advantages of owning the right franchise is that the company has a well-established brand name on a regional and national level. Budget Blinds strives to create “top of mind awareness” in the eyes of the consumers you are trying to attract, so that when people think of window coverings, they’ll think of Budget Blinds.

In-Depth Training Programs
Good franchise companies offer training programs designed to teach you everything you need to know in order to run a successful business. From consulting, to measuring, to professional installation, Budget Blinds offers intensive and on-going training programs for its window covering franchisees so they may become experts in what they do.

Continuous Operational Support
Franchise companies have staff dedicated to providing ongoing assistance to franchisees. With Budget Blinds, you have access to a personal Business Coach for guidance and direction so that you are never alone when you're building and running your business.

Marketing and Lead Generation Assistance
Budget Blinds provides excellent marketing assistance, giving franchisees proven tools and strategies for attracting and retaining customers on a local level. Additionally, their national advertising efforts generate leads for franchisees and build top of mind awareness within a wider customer base.

Strong Purchasing Power
A good franchise takes advantage of the buying power of the entire system to negotiate prices for everything you need. Prices come out to be significantly lower than what you could get as an independent window coverings business owner. This applies not only to product lines from some the industries top suppliers, but to national marketing efforts as well.

Risk Avoidance
One of the best reasons to buy a franchise is it will help you avoid much of the risk of starting your own business. By conducting your own due diligence, you can determine with a fair amount of certainty if becoming a franchisee is something that is right for you.

The above list details some good reasons to think about buying franchise, namely, a window covering franchise from Budget Blinds. Using a tried-and-true business approach versus taking a shot at it all on your own can prevent you from making costly business mistakes that can severely impact your return on investment..
